RESEARCH

Florida Anxiety Clinic Research

The Florida Anxiety Clinic conducts scientific investigations to expand the knowledge of anxiety disorders and their treatment.

Our research projects are ongoing and we may ask our patients to become involved in one of our studies.  Research participation is voluntary.  Declining participation does not affect patient treatment in any way.

Some research studies offer participants free treatment.  Please inquire to see if any of these studies are available.  All of our research investigations comply with federal regulations for research with human participants.

Research the Anxiety Disorder Literature

To find scientific studies on anxiety, you may use PubMed, which is  the National Library of Medicine's free search service that provides access to over 10 million citations in MEDLINE, PreMEDLINE, and other related databases.

Clinical Trial Research Opportunities

Clinical trial research studies evaluate the effectiveness and safety of medication (or other treatment ) in comparison to a placebo (or other treatment).

Participating in clinical trials has several advantages.  As a research participant, you receive free treatment and sometimes are even paid for your participation.  You are also able to receive new treatments before they are available to the general public. One of the big disadvantages, however, is that you might get randomly assigned to the placebo condition.
